Paula White from Carer KaFÉ & Marie McLeod from ThriveAbility were delighted to have around 100 delegates come along to the How to Thrive Darwin conference presentation.  They were fortunate to have Lucy – a Permanent carer who completed the 8-week carer wellbeing program earlier this year – provide authenticity from having the courage to join them on stage and speak passionately about the positive changes in her life as a result of what she had learned from immersing herself in the BEACON framework for thriving (Belonging, Engagement, Accountability, Compassion, Optimism, Nurture).  There was a great deal of interest from delegates right across Australia enquiring about bringing this wellness program to their workplaces and carer groups.
