Rob is a motivated education leader with over 10 years of experience across diverse educational settings in Australia, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. His teaching and learning background includes working within all four levels of education, with a focus on medical education, mental health and wellbeing, and organisational development. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Education (Educational Leadership) to further develop his skills to empower educators and foster successful educational outcomes.
Rob qualified as a foster carer in December of 2022, and has been a long-term foster carer of an Indigenous child since January of 2023 – his first “three-to-six-month placement” kept on going, and neither of us have looked back! This experience allows him to bring a well-rounded perspective to his leadership, informed by both professional expertise and a deep understanding of the importance of nurturing young minds.
Outside of caring and work, Rob is a rugby union referee in Victoria, and has contributed as vice-president (education) and secretary of rugby referee associations in Victoria and Canberra. He is learning to embrace AFL (Go, Dees!) and spends family time with his foster child and their border collie, Lolly.
