The Department of Education has worked with state schools to make available a limited school holiday program for students who are children of essential services workers or who are vulnerable. They may include:

  • children in out-of-home care

  • children deemed by Child Protection and/or Family Services to be at risk of harm

  • children identified by the school as vulnerable, including via referral from a family violence agency, homelessness service, mental health service or other heath service.

If you are an essential services worker or require the care and supervision of the child in your care during the holiday period, please contact your child's regular school to ascertain if a care and supervision program is operating, (some will also have a limited OSHC program). If you are considering utilising this program please contact your Agency.

Students will be expected to commence the remote and flexible learning program online at the beginning of Term 2 on April 15 2020, however, your school will keep you informed with  up to date information.
