Hearing from Young People during COVID-19

We are a group of researchers led by Dr Karen McLean. We are working from the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Our research study aims to find out more about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the health of children and young people living with hardships in Victoria, Australia. Findings from this study could help us to support the wellbeing of children and young people by improving healthcare services offered to them.

If you are between 15 to 19 years old, living in Victoria and experiencing hardships, we would love to hear from you. Hardships include things like living in out-of-home care, experiencing family violence, or living with someone who has a mental illness or drug problem. We are particularly interested in finding out about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected your health and getting the healthcare you need (for example, GP or mental health services). The information you share with us will help us to improve healthcare services offered to children and young people, especially under the current COVID-19 conditions!

This online survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Everything you say will be private and anonymous. You do not have to answer every question, only the ones you feel comfortable with. You can also stop doing the survey at any time by simply closing the browser. Our online survey is now open for you to share your experiences. To acknowledge the time this takes, we have ten $100 gift cards to offer to randomly selected participants who complete the survey.
